Monday 1 July – Friday 5 July is the first week of Business training for the Chanasa Women. This is the first of 3 weeks of training which is being provided by COMSIP (Community Savings and Investment Promotion) an organisation based in Blantyre. This is being funded with the generous support of individuals, the Rotary Club of Chester and the SMB Trust Fund. On the first day 36 women attended and Florence Mataya of Rotary Club in Limbe also came to supervise. It is being held at the COMSIP offices in Soche East, Blantyre. The women have their bus fares paid and are given a lunch allowance. The aim is for the groups to be run more like small businesses managing their own orders.
