One of the ways in which we help the women in Malawi is by providing them with sewing machines. Over 50 sewing machines were taken out to Malawi and 4 went to the Chanasa groups. If you have an electric sewing machine or one with a handle and it is in working order then it can be put to good use in Malawi. It will go to the Beehive Tailoring School in Blantyre, Malawi where the women have the chance of having a machine at the end of their training. If you have a sewing machine in working order that you would like to donate to Malawi we would love to hear from you. They need to be taken to:
Krizevac Project, Atlas Works, Paragon Road, Longton, Stoke on Trent ST3 1NR
If you cannot take it there we may be able to collect sewing machines from places near Chester and near Cambridge. Please contact Susan Flynn on 01244 381490 or email her using the Contact Form.
